Chemistry

The Science Georgia Standards of Excellence are designed to provide foundational knowledge and skills for all students to develop proficiency in science. Science consists of a way of thinking and investigating, as well a growing body of knowledge about the natural world. To become literate in science, students need to possess sufficient understanding of fundamental science content knowledge, the ability to engage in the science and engineering practices, and to use scientific and technological information correctly.

  1. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the use of the modern atomic theory and periodic law to explain the characteristics of atoms and elements.
  2. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the chemical and physical properties of matter resulting from the ability of atoms to form bonds.
  3. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about how the Law of Conservation of Matter is used to determine chemical composition in compounds and chemical reactions.
  4. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about how to refine the design of a chemical system by applying engineering principles to manipulate the factors that affect a chemical reaction.
  5. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the Kinetic Molecular Theory to model atomic and molecular motion in chemical and physical processes
  6. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the properties that describe solutions and the nature of acids and bases

How we Do It: UFA makes it simple by covering all topics that are standardized under Georgia Department of Education. Our tutors make lesson plans that will help the students capable of understanding and applying the fundamentals of Chemistry.
